For accelerated cycling of heart valves and biomaterial specimens
The Hi-Cycle system is designed to provide accelerated cycling of valves for assessing prosthetic heart valve durability in a laboratory setting. It uses an electrodynamic shaker to drive six pistons within fluid-filled, temperature-controlled chambers. The pulsatile flow exercises mounted heart valves or specimens at an accelerated rate of up to 2000 cycles/minute. Clear viewports allow imaging of the valves during testing, and pressure ports allow monitoring of the dynamic pressures up and downstream of the valves.
Advantages
Eliminate time consuming re-positioning of transducers and de-bubbling of pressure lines with Scan-Valve with pressure transducers
Angled windows assist chamber de-bubbling
Test 2, 3, 4, or 6 implants simultaneously
Rapidly install and remove test specimens
Transparent materials allow for flow and specimen visualization
