The Model Left Heart (MLH) is a compact, compliant model of the left heart and load system. The system can assess the function of heart valves and other implants under simulated cardiac conditions. The MLH’s transparent materials allow for flow and specimen visualization while pre-built flow and pressure transducer docks allow you to add additional components to the system if desired.
Advantages
- Rapid filling, debubbling, draining and valve
exchange.
- Adjustable aortic root and characteristic compliances.
- Variable peripheral resistance with Vernier scale.
- Dial gauge monitoring of aortic pressure provides an accurate reading of the pressure the system is under.
Common Applications
The Model Left Heart is often used in the cause of:
- Regulatory data generation
- Research projects
- Production line testing
- Cardiac system instruction
- Echo Doppler studies
- MRI studies
- Pressure recovery studies
- Cavitation studies
- Acoustic emission studies
- Flow visualization studies
